Tuoxing Ships a Custom-Built TC-250 Fuel Scooptram to a Mining Customer in Peru

Sep.23.2026

Laizhou, Shandong, China — Laizhou Tuoxing Electromechanical Equipment Co., Ltd. (Tuoxing) has completed the final inspection and container loading of a customized TC-250 fuel scooptram for a mining customer in Peru. The unit — a diesel-powered underground LHD (load-haul-dump loader) configured to the customer’s own working conditions — has left Tuoxing’s manufacturing base in Laizhou, Shandong, and is on its way to South America.

The shipment marks another step in Tuoxing’s work with mining operators in Peru, where the company’s scooptrams and underground trucks are already in service. It also shows what a “custom” order looks like in practice: one machine, built for one mine, checked and loaded by the same team that built it.

Built Around One Mine, Not a Catalogue

At Tuoxing, customization is not a brochure word. The starting point for every project is the mine itself — the size and curvature of the tunnels, the type and density of the ore, the gradient and condition of the haul roads, and the maintenance capability of the site team. Those variables decide how a loader should be sized, powered and equipped, long before the first steel plate is cut.

The TC-250 shipped to Peru was specified in exactly that way. Its 1.5 m³ SAE-heaped bucket and 4,000 kg rated load place it at the centre of Tuoxing’s scooptram range: large enough to move serious tonnage, compact enough to work narrow headings. From that base, a machine can be configured for the buyer — bucket and wear package, engine and exhaust treatment, cab layout and control arrangement, lighting and safety equipment, and the language of the labels, manuals and training material that travel with the unit.

That last point matters more than it may sound. Equipment is only productive when the people running it can read the documentation, order the right spare and follow the right procedure — and all of that is easier when it arrives in the operator’s own language.

The TC-250 at a Glance

The TC-250 is a diesel (fuel) scooptram designed for hard-rock underground haulage — built to move blasted material from the face to the ore pass or the truck, shift after shift.

The Last Walkaround Before the Doors Close

Before any machine is loaded, it goes through a final check on the hardstand outside the assembly halls — the stage captured at the start of the attached video. With the engine covers opened, the DEUTZ air-cooled diesel, its filters, pipework and service points are laid out for inspection. The warning decals and identification plates are checked. The white operator’s cab, carrying the TC-250 plate, is examined for fit, finish and visibility.

The walkaround also exercises the working end of the machine. The boom and bucket travel through their full range, confirming smooth lift and tilt action, before the loader is started and driven off the stand. Only then is the unit considered ready to travel.

Up close, the details that matter underground are all on show: the centre articulation joint that lets a 7.5-metre machine turn inside a drift, the low-profile chassis and its ground clearance, heavy-duty tyres on bright rims, and the day-to-day service points grouped where a fitter can reach them without special tools.

From the Yard to the Container

From the hardstand, the TC-250 is driven across the yard — past other units at various stages of preparation — and up a concrete loading ramp to the container waiting on its trailer. With the doors open, the loader is lined up and moved into position inside, ready for the sea leg of the journey.

Then the doors close, the truck pulls out of the plant, and the workshop turns to the next order on the list. The machine travels with its documentation, so that the customer has the records they need before the container is even opened at the destination.

Why Peru — and Why Diesel

Peru is one of the most mineral-rich countries in the world and a leading producer of copper, gold, silver and zinc. Mining accounts for roughly ten per cent of national GDP and about sixty per cent of the country’s exports, and a large share of it comes from underground operations in remote, high-altitude terrain — places where equipment has to keep working far from the nearest service centre.

For those conditions, a diesel scooptram still has clear advantages. It carries its own power source: there is no trailing cable to manage and no charging infrastructure to build at the face. An air-cooled engine such as the DEUTZ unit in the TC-250 also takes the radiator and the coolant circuit off the maintenance list — useful where water and workshop support are limited. And with a rated load of 4,000 kg on a chassis 1,840 mm wide, the machine is sized for drifts where a larger loader would simply not fit.

The TC-250 also carries the features that keep a working place habitable: and an ESC platinum dry exhaust purifier that helps keep particulate levels in the drift under control. Underground mining is hard on people and machines alike, and every detail that reduces exhaust exposure or operator fatigue pays back over a full shift.

Support That Travels With the Machine

A machine leaving Laizhou takes more than an engine and a bucket with it. Tuoxing’s export orders travel with:

• Spare parts supply — genuine parts for wear items and major components, so that a routine replacement does not turn into a month of lost production.

• On-site response — a commitment to reach overseas customers on site within 48 hours when support is needed.

• Documentation and training — manuals and training material that can be supplied in Spanish for customers in Latin America, with operator training arranged around the delivery.

• Pre-delivery testing — hydraulic systems flushed and filled to NAS 7–8 cleanliness, and a full-load test before shipment, with the test record delivered alongside the unit.

• Lifetime technical support — engineers remain reachable for the life of the machine, not only for the duration of a warranty period.

For a buyer in Peru, that combination is the point. The machine on the ramp is the visible part of the order; the parts pipeline, the paperwork and the phone number that answers are what keep it working once it is underground.
