[email protected]Tuoxing TC-100E Electric LHD Dispatched to Kazakhstan: 1m³ Bucket Optimized for Narrow-Vein Mining
On March 17, 2026, Tuoxing Heavy Industry completed the final factory inspection and loading of a TC-100E electric Load-Haul-Dump (LHD) machine, bound for a large-scale copper mine in the Karaganda region of Kazakhstan. This unit is powered by a 3-phase AC 380V/45kW electric motor and features a 1m³ bucket capacity with a rated payload of 2,000 kg; it is a compact electric LHD specifically engineered for narrow-vein mining operations. The client, having previously purchased multiple diesel-powered units from Tuoxing, opted for this electric version—a repeat purchase—based on the stable operational performance of their existing fleet, thereby addressing the mine site's requirements for emission reduction.
Powered by a 45kW electric motor, the machine utilizes a hydro-mechanical transmission system comprising a Ukrainian-made PV22 variable displacement piston pump and an MV23 variable displacement motor. This configuration delivers a maximum tractive force of 50 kN and a maximum breakout force of 45 kN, ensuring robust loading capabilities in hard rock environments.
It features a bidirectional travel speed of 0–7.5 km/h and a maximum gradeability of ≥25%, making it well-suited for heavy-load operations on inclined ramps.

With overall dimensions of 5,710 × 1,395 × 1,920 mm and a width of just 1.4 meters, the machine can easily access and navigate through narrow mine drifts.
It features central-articulated, full-hydraulic steering with a steering angle of ±38° and a minimum outer turning radius of 3,990 mm, allowing for flexible maneuvering and U-turns within underground tunnels, as well as excellent passability over rugged terrain.
The machine is equipped with a power cable boasting an effective length of 80 meters, covering extensive operational areas and minimizing the frequency of machine repositioning for charging.
The working hydraulic system operates at a pressure of 16 MPa, while the steering system operates at 12.5 MPa; an independent oil tank design ensures the capability for prolonged, continuous operation.

The equipment underwent a rigorous 15-day factory testing period—including full-load operational trials and ramp-climbing verification—and successfully passed the final acceptance inspection conducted by the client's on-site representative. The accompanying spare parts kit, along with a Russian-language operating interface and technical documentation, are shipped concurrently; the equipment fully complies with Kazakhstan's safety standards.
The client's equipment manager stated: "The TC-100E's 1 m³ bucket and 2,000 kg payload are perfectly suited for our narrow-vein mining stopes, while its 45 kW power output is more than sufficient to handle hard rock conditions. Tuoxing's electrification solution will help us reduce ventilation costs and facilitate our transition toward green mining."

Q: Can the TC-100E withstand the low winter temperatures in Kazakhstan?
A: The electric motor drive is unaffected by low temperatures; furthermore, the hydraulic system can be optionally equipped with a preheating device to ensure normal startup in environments as cold as -20°C.
Q: Our mining site operates on a 660V power supply; is the equipment compatible?
A: We offer a customizable version featuring a 660V motor, or alternatively, the unit can be configured with a step-down transformer. Please specify your requirements when placing an order.
Q: How is the supply of spare parts for the Ukrainian-made hydraulic pumps guaranteed?
A: Tuoxing maintains a dedicated inventory of imported hydraulic spare parts and also offers domestically produced alternative solutions to ensure a reliable, long-term supply.
